Job Purpose

To support apprentices through to the successful completion of their apprenticeship programme. Deliver the knowledge, skills and behaviours through a blended learning approach.

You will be accountable for the whole of the apprenticeship journey with responsibility for the internal quality assurance processes for the subject area.

Key responsibilities

To train, coach, support and deliver the apprenticeship programme within their subject specialist and regional area.

Support apprentices with all aspects of the apprenticeship delivery including Maths, English and additional learner support where applicable.

To maintain high standards, adhering to service and awarding body quality assurance procedures

Work with the subject specialist team to ensure the standardisation of assessment and practices.

Facilitate and deliver through a range of different methods to create an engaging learning programme.

Programming of training and support in liaison with the programme manager and taking account of the employer individual needs.

On-board new apprentices to the correct programme following the Skern Training and Skills process.

To meet internally set deadlines for quality assurance checks.

To carry out initial assessment with learners using a range of methods.

To keep and maintain accurate records of training and assessment in accordance with service and awarding body requirements

Essential Criteria

Extensive knowledge & experience of Leadership & Management

Experience of delivering work based learning in Leadership and Management.

Experience of/ prepared to chair standardisation meetings and managing IQA requirements.

Experience working with remote teams using TEAMS/ZOOM

Knowledge of End Point Assessment activities and methodologies

Knowledge of relevant IFATE Standards

Capable & qualified to work across Level 3 -5 in Leadership & Management

Hold a recognised teacher / training qualification (AET, PTLLS or equivalent).

Hold an assessor qualification (A1, TAQA, CAVA, D32, D33 or equivalent).

Hold an internal quality assurance qualification (V1, D34 or equivalent) (desirable)

A strong commitment to continuous professional development (CPD) and evidence of own ongoing CPD.

Efficient time management & organisational skills

GCSEs English and Maths (C or above or key skills equivalent).

Knowledge of the OFSTED EIF
